# Delete Stored Payment Method

DELETE https://api.crisscross.money/v1/payers/{payerId}/paymentMethods/{paymentMethodToken}

Deletes a stored payment method associated with a payer. This operation is useful for removing outdated or unused payment methods, ensuring that only valid and current payment options are available for transactions.

## Request

### Path parameters

- `payerId` (string, required) — The unique identifier for the payer. See the [Payer ID guide](/payer-id).
- `paymentMethodToken` (string, required) — The token representing the payment method to delete.

## Response

### 200

Payment method deleted successfully.

- `analyticsId` (string, optional) — Unique analytics identifier corresponding to a payment method.
- `createdAt` (datetime, optional) — Creation date & time of the object (UTC).
- `customerId` (string, optional) — The ID representing the customer.
- `default` (boolean, optional) — Whether or not this payment method is the default.
- `deleted` (boolean, optional) — Whether or not this object has been revoked.
- `deletedAt` (datetime, optional) — Date & time when this object was revoked (UTC).
- `description` (string, optional) — A friendly description given by the user.
- `isVerified` (boolean, optional) — Whether or not this payment method was verified.
- `paymentMethodData` (PayersPayerIdPaymentMethodsPaymentMethodTokenDeleteResponsesContentApplicationJsonSchemaPaymentMethodData, optional)
- `paymentMethodType` (string, optional) — Payment method type associated with a token.
- `token` (string, optional) — The vaulted payment method token.
- `tokenType` (string, optional) — Type of the token (e.g., MULTI_USE).

### 400 Bad Request Error

Bad Request - Invalid request parameters.

- `message` (string, required) — Human-readable description of what went wrong.
- `error` (string, required) — Error category, typically the HTTP reason phrase (e.g. "Bad Request", "Unauthorized", "Conflict", "Unprocessable Entity", "Internal Server Error").

### 404 Not Found Error

Not Found - Payment method not found.
